TASALAQ

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 August 2026

Tasalaq is a climbing app for logging ascents, sharing beta videos, and following climbing gyms. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

Location

If you use “Near me” gym search, the app asks for your location once to sort gyms by distance. Your coordinates are used for that search and are not stored.

Who can see what

You control the visibility of each climb you log: public (anyone), friends, or private (only you). Your username, display name, profile photo, bio, and Instagram handle are visible to other users. Your email address is never shown to other users.

Where your data lives

Account and activity data is stored in our database. Photos and videos are stored with Cloudflare (R2 object storage and CDN). Emails (such as verification and password-reset messages) are delivered through Resend. Error diagnostics are processed by Sentry. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time in the app under Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, climbs, videos, comments, and friendships are removed. Copies of media on delivery caches expire shortly after deletion.

Children

Tasalaq is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will note it here with a new “last updated” date.
